Scaffold Ladder
Scaffold Ladder: The Safe Vertical Access for Your Scaffolding System
The Scaffold Ladder is a modular vertical access solution specifically designed for integration into standalone scaffolding systems. It eliminates the hazardous practice of climbing the scaffold structure by providing a dedicated, secure, and code-compliant means of access. Featuring compatible connections for quick installation and optional integrated guardrails and landing platforms, it enhances the intrinsic safety of work at height, making it a standard for modern, safe construction practices.
Key Benefits:
Intrinsic Safety: Provides a dedicated access route, preventing falls caused by climbing standards or ledgers.
Easy Integration: Modular design with standard connectors allows for fast assembly and dismantling as part of the main system.
Regulation Compliant: Design meets OSHA and other safety standards, with rung spacing and width designed for ergonomics and safety.
Robust Construction: Made from the same high-strength steel and hot-dip galvanized finish as the main system for durability and high reusability.
Description
1. Product Overview
The Scaffold Ladder is a specialized functional component designed to provide safe and efficient vertical personnel access for standalone shoring or scaffolding systems. Installed parallel to the standards, it securely attaches to the main structure via dedicated connecting arms or clamps, forming an independent and stable climbing system. This product is key to implementing the “Safety First” principle, effectively preventing accidents caused by ad-hoc climbing.
2. Design & Features
-
Main Structure: Consists of two vertical side rails with evenly spaced horizontal rungs. Rungs may feature a non-slip surface (e.g., serrated or rubber-coated).
-
System Integration: The ladder backbone features dedicated connecting plates or clamps for quick locking onto the system’s standards or ledgers, ensuring a rigid, integral connection.
-
Safety Features: -
Standard Rung Spacing: Typically 300mm (11.8 inches), compliant with safety codes.
-
Optional Guardrails: Can be integrated with or fitted with extended guardrails to form a safe caged climbing channel.
-
Landing Platforms: Can be added at intervals for rest during ascent/descent.

-
-
Modularity: Supplied in standard sections (e.g., 2m or 3m long) that can be connected to achieve required heights.
3. Technical Parameters
-
Material: Steel Grade Q235B (S235JR)
-
Overall Width: Approx. 500mm (Inner clear width ~400mm)
-
Rung Spacing: 300mm (Center to Center)
-
Standard Section Length: 2.0m, 3.0m
-
Surface Treatment: Hot-Dip Galvanized or Anti-rust Paint
-
Connection Type: Dedicated Ringlock clamp, fits φ48mm standard
4. Application & Installation
-
Compatible Systems: Fully compatible with various standalone systems, Ringlock, cup-lock scaffolding, etc.
-
Installation Location: Typically installed inside or on the outside of the scaffold, ensuring clear access.
-
Installation Requirements: Must be securely connected to the scaffold structure at regular intervals (e.g., per section). The base must be stable, and the top should extend above the working platform to a safe height.
