Scaffold Tripod

Scaffold Tripod

The Scaffold Tripod is an adjustable stabilizing base specifically designed for standalone scaffolding systems. Its unique three-legged support structure provides unparalleled stability by significantly increasing the ground contact area, making it ideal for soft or uneven surfaces like soil and gravel. By simply turning the adjustment nut, users can quickly and precisely level the entire support structure, ensuring a safe and reliable elevated work platform from the ground up. It is a critical safety component for any independent tower.

Key Benefits:

Maximum Stability: Triangular support principle offers superior mechanical stability, preventing settling or tilting.

Excellent Adaptability: Designed for complex terrain, easily coping with common uneven ground conditions.

Precise Leveling: Integrated threaded screw allows for wide-range fine-tuning to ensure perfect vertical alignment.

Robust Construction: All-steel construction provides high load-bearing capacity and long-term durability.

Description

1. Product Overview
The Scaffold Tripod is a critical foundational component installed at the base of a standalone scaffolding standard. Its primary function is to effectively transfer and distribute the concentrated load from the standard to the ground. The stable three-point support structure compensates for minor ground irregularities, preventing the tower from tilting or settling under load. It is the preferred solution for ensuring overall system stability when conventional base plates are insufficient or on challenging ground conditions.

2. Design & Features

  • Tripod Support Structure: Comprises three radially distributed legs and a central connecting sleeve. Legs often feature base plates to further distribute ground pressure.

  • Central Adjustment System: The central sleeve houses a high-strength threaded screw. Turning the adjustment nut raises or lowers the screw, typically offering a range of 300mm to 500mm for significant leveling.

  • Top Connection: The top of the screw features a standard spigot (for φ48mm or φ60mm standard) for secure insertion into the standard’s bottom end.

  • Safety Feature: The screw often includes a hole for a safety pin after leveling to prevent accidental loosening.

3. Technical Parameters

  • Material: Q235B Carbon Steel

  • Leg Span Diameter: Approx. 800mm – 1000mm

  • Adjustment Range: Min. Height ~ Max. Height (e.g., 450mm ~ 750mm)

  • Compatible Standard Diameter: φ48mm or φ60mm (Customized to system)

  • Surface Treatment: Hot-Dip Galvanized / Anti-rust Paint

4. Application & Installation Guide

  • Ideal For: Soil, gravel, slightly uneven concrete, and situations requiring floor protection indoors.

  • Installation Steps:

    1. Place the tripod at the desired location with legs fully extended.

    2. Insert the standard onto the top spigot of the adjustment screw.

    3. Check the standard for verticality with a spirit level and level by turning the adjustment nut.

    4. Insert the safety pin once leveled.

  • Safety Warning: On very soft ground, place timber or steel plates under the base plates. Do not exceed the maximum design load.
